His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Municipality and Planning, visited Gulf Medical University today, 5th July 2010. He was welcomed by Thumbay Moideen Founder President of the university accompanied by the Provost, Dr Gita Ashok Raj and several other officials of the university. Sheikh Rashid was taken on a tour of the university and briefed him on the current and future plans of the institution, including the construction of the new hospital and the campus

Gulf Medical University students of 44 nationalities celebrated GMU Global Day 2010, when each student swapped their usual uniform for more traditional wear from their own country. The colorful and vibrant campus came to life with students dressed elegantly in their ethnic wear. (more…)

Fifty trophies were presented on the concluding day of the 9th Annual GMUA Sports Festival held at the Gulf Medical University, Ajman. A weeklong Sports Festival was conducted at the University from May 1 – 6, 2010. The Festival had participants from 12 leading colleges and universities in the UAE vying for the trophies. (more…)

Gulf Medical University has embarked upon implementing online examinations for all the programs offered by the university. The academic programs offered include MBBS, BPT, DMD, PHARM D and M.sc Clinical Pathology. Gulf Medical University has developed a software system with all the necessary security features in it to enable the students to appear computer based examinations for all the courses in each program. The Annual 9th Sports Festival will kicks off on 1st May 2010 with the opening ceremony that will be followed by 5 successive days of competitions in different branches of sports - ranging from football, badminton, basketball, outdoor volley ball, table tennis, tennis, volleyball hosted in venues across the University campus. Prize distribution day will be held on 6th May 2010 which is the last day of the event. (more…)

May 7th & 8th 2010 will mark the day when Gulf Medical University students of 44 nationalities will go back to the era of traditions, when each student swapped their usual uniform for more traditional wear from their own country. The colorful and vibrant campus will come to life with students dressed elegantly in their ethnic wear. Students could be seen admiring their friends whom, they were seeing for the first time in a whole new light. The event is scheduled for the afternoon, while the judges will contemplate who the winner will be for the Best Stall, Most entertaining stall, Miss Ethnic, Mr. Ethnic and other categories. (more…)
